About

I’m a husband, father, pastor, writer, and trouble maker. Those who know me best would no doubt put trouble maker first, but hey, this is my blog, so I can church it up, right? So, who is Tom? It’s hard to say. I wish I had a quick, powerful response like Maximus in the movie Gladiator, something like, “My name is Thomas Otto Mueller Jr., commander of the armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance.” It sounds so dramatic, doesn’t it? Well, my life isn’t nearly as dramatic as that, but I sure like to pretend it is. More than anything, I love spending time with my family, friends and church. In my extra time (like I have much), I love to write. This blog is one of the many expressions of that passion. For the past year I have been working on my first work of fiction, A Whistle in The Dark-The Adventures of Eaner Pickernan, and I’m proud to say that I’m almost done with the rough draft. I’m excited to start the next phase of the journey, the first re-write, and perhaps you would like to follow me along in the journey. Hopefully we can have some laughs along the way, because lets face it, laughter is the best medicine. Feel free to make a comment. I would love to have a chat.

    Tom,
I love this new blog…..it’s the very first Blog I’ve ever been on! I’m also glad to see that you’re squeezing into you busy life some time to write. We all have “things” we’ve always had an interest in doing, but I’m guessing most people never get around to trying it! I’ve heard that your nieces and nephews love your stories, and I always enjoyed your teachings in Sherwood, so I am enjoying reading what you write! Keep writing my friend!
I am really enjoying your blog! Oh — Our family misses seeing you and your beautiful girls on Sundays…hope all is well!

      Thanks Gordon,

That means a lot. I have been thanking back a lot to the early days of my faith, and you had a big part in that. Thanks so much for loving and investing in me. How are things? You still living in the most beautiful part of the world?
